Following extensive conversion and modernisation work at the Reichenfels site, Weinberger will be able to pick orders for glued laminated timber and glued solid timber (Bilam/Trilam) as well as log-house planks down to the very last centimetre from 2023 onwards. Carpenters’ workshops will profit from advantages in terms of price, on the one hand. And on the other, there is no need to dispose of excess waste and offcuts.
This new precision during picking is the result of the warehouse expansion to 5 floors, the installation of a new finger jointing press and an upgrade to Weinberger’s master computer. This means that customers can now order exactly what they actually need, no more, no less. With no costly excess lengths that then have to be disposed of or thermally recycled. In this way, Weinberger has improved the cost-benefit balance compared to conventional off-the-shelf goods, though these can of course still be ordered. Managing Director Johann Alfred Weinberger: “The exact commissioning of glued laminated timber, glued solid timber (Bilam/Trilam) and log-house planks down to the last centimetre is a further step in our constant efforts to make a cooperation with us as easy, pleasant and efficient as possible for every customer.”
