And because we focus on supplying absolutely high-quality special products, we are able to justifiably claim that we are the first and only ones in some specific sectors.
Bilam with a flexural strength of up to 26.4 N/mm2
Our CE-compliant Bilam C24 products can be calculated with a value of 26.4 N/mm2 if used upright on the basis of the EN 14080 standard that has applied since 2014. This means that Bilam C24 of the same dimensions can withstand a 10 % higher load or be dimensioned approx. 10 % less than glued laminated timber from strength class GL 24.
The major benefit: greater strength and even higher maximum loads for the most demanding of uses in a wide range of areas.
Glued log-house planks in a variety of profiles
We manufacture our log-house planks from Austrian heartwood-free wood that has been dried to a standardised wood moisture for indoor use. One optical highlight of our log-house planks is that you only see a single straight line on the outside as a longitudinal joint. This exclusive look is achieved by using edge jointing. A special tool produces a tongueand-groove profile with an accuracy of 1/100 mm. The big advantage is that planks from different production batches can be combined with each other with no problems.
True-to-profile consistency is one of our key quality characteristics. So it’s very important to understand just what this means – and actually, it’s quite easy to explain: imagine you create a profile with a knife. After a while the knife becomes blunt. So you sharpen it. But sharpening the knife alters its geometry. And thus the profile too. Changing the knife prevents this. Which is precisely what we do here at Weinberger. Along with the proper storage at a constant wood moisture, this allows us to guarantee absolute true-to-profile consistency.
Glued laminated timber and duo structural timber
Our philosophy regarding quality is also based on our ability to provide one-stop shopping in specific areas to all customers. Which is also why the properties of our glued laminated timber almost equal the properties of bilam and trilam qualities. In conjunction with bilam and trilam beams and our duo structural timber, we are therefore able to supply all wood products for building with timber.
